Wyre Forest Gamers
Wargaming in the Kidderminster area for over 45 years
Wyre Forest Wargames Club is a small club dedicated to all forms of wargaming. Originally we were based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, although nowadays our members come from all over the surrounding area. We have members from all parts of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire. Including Bewdley, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Hereford, Ledbury, Stourport, Redditch, Worcester and Wolverhampton.
We meet twice a month, the first and third Sunday of the month normally. The first session of the month takes place at Holt Heath Village Hall, Holt, Worcestershire, WR6 6NE. The second meeting of the month is at St. Ambrose Parish Hall, Leswell St., Kidderminster, WORCS, DY10 1RP (see below for directions).
The next club meeting will be on 10th December at St Ambrose Parish Hall. Attendance is free to all club members.

The plan is to hold two club Sundays per month: -
1st Sunday of the month at Holt Heath, near Worcester.
3rd Sunday of the month at St. Ambrose, Kidderminster.

Wyre Forest Gamers is deeply saddened to report that club member Dave Chubb passed away on 18th October 2023. Dave was one of the very earliest members, had a lasting influence on the nature and spirit of the club and will be greatly missed. We would like to express our condolences to his family and friends. A tribute to Dave's massive contribution to the club can be found here.

In mid October Nick paid a visit to see his friends in the Prague Wargames Club and play a couple of Seven Years War games. A brief account of his trip can be found here and there are more photos in the Gallery. He is hopeful that he can repeat the trip next year and include other members of Wyre Forest Gamers who wish to combine a holiday with some quality gaming.
The Birmingham Wargamer show was held at 100 Acre Wood Scout Hut, Aldridge Street, Streetly, Sutton Coldfield, B74 2EB on Sunday 1st October. Harry and Charles ran a "To The Strongest" display game and you can read a brief account on the Diary and Events page
Neil C has started a massive solo gaming project at home using the board game "War Between the States 1861-65" for campaign moves and "Volley and Bayonet" rules for table-top battles. He is recording his adventures in a blog which you can find here.
Darren has updated and improved the Club Game Management System, for which, many thanks. Some new features have been added and the screens look a lot nicer. Members with existing logins should be able to gain access by using the same links as before.
Harry has produced a Dux Bellorum scenario based on a game he and Gordon played at the club in July. You can find it here.

Directions to Holt Village Hall
The hall is situated on the main A4133 between Ombersley and Little Witley. Approaching from Ombersley, the building is about 50 yards on the right past the mini-roundabout at School Lane.
