Wyre Forest Gamers
Wargaming in the Kidderminster area for over 46 years
Wyre Forest Wargames Club is a small club dedicated to all forms of wargaming. Originally we were based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, although nowadays our members come from all over the surrounding area. We have members from all parts of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire. Including Bewdley, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Hereford, Ledbury, Stourport, Redditch, Worcester and Wolverhampton.
We meet twice a month, the first and third Sunday of the month normally. The first session of the month takes place at Holt Heath Village Hall, Holt, Worcestershire, WR6 6NE. The second meeting of the month is at St. Ambrose Parish Hall, Leswell St., Kidderminster, WORCS, DY10 1RP (see below for directions).
The next club meeting will be on 4th August at Holt Heath Village Hall.

The plan is to hold two club Sundays per month: -
1st Sunday of the month at Holt Heath, near Worcester.
3rd Sunday of the month at St. Ambrose, Kidderminster.

Graham has produced a set of WWII rules inspired by his friend Dave Chubb, who was a member of the club for several years until his death in October 2023. You will find the rules here and I am grateful to Graham for permitting them to be available on the site.
The Joy of Six show was held in Sheffield on 14th July. Good friend of the club Per Broden displayed a spectacular recreation of the Battle of Duna, 1701, ably assisted by our own Nick D. Nick's account of the show can be found on the Diary and Events page.
Nick's latest set of rules are now on sale. 'Twilight of the Emperor' covers the period 1800-1815 and provides detailed rules for recreating large-scale battles of the Napoleonic era. More details can be found at Wyre Historic Books.
The annual Partizan show was held at Newark on 19th May. The club was not represented by a display game but the club Chairman, Nick D, hosted a SYW Twilight game using 10mm 'flats'. Please see the report on the Diary and Events page.

Directions to Holt Village Hall
The hall is situated on the main A4133 between Ombersley and Little Witley. Approaching from Ombersley, the building is about 50 yards on the right past the mini-roundabout at School Lane.
