'Koenigs Krieg' is a set of wargames rules covering the mid 18th century wars. While these are an excellent set of rules the points value is not, therefore these are our suggestions for an alternative set of points values. This is generally for comment, etc... and is what we use at our club for 'one off' games. For the 'Grosse Krieg' campaign game we use the straight points value.
Points Values:
A figure (Morale 5 - Infantry or Cavalry) 1 point
Per morale level (Infantry) +/- 0.25 point
Per morale level (Cavalry) +/- 0.5 point
March & Fire (Prussians),Platoon Fire (British), Lance + 0.25 point
Light Infantry, Non Irregular Light Cavalry, Medium Cavalry + 0.5 point
Heavy Cavalry + 1 point
Elite Cavalry + 1.5 points
Light Gun 4 points
Horse Gun / Howitzer 6 points
Heavy Gun 8 points
Examples:
Prussian Muskeeter Btn (12 figs - march & fire) @ 1.25 pt 15 points
Prusian Fusilier Btn (12 figs - march & fire) @ 1 pt 12 points
Prussian Fusilier Btn (12 figs) @ 0.75 pt 9 points
Austrian Grenadier Btn (12 figs) @ 1.5 pt 18 points
Generals:
You use the agreed points value if you have a grade 3 commander and get extra points if you have a lower grade commander. For this reason if you normally fight with say 500 point armies you should fight with slightly smaller force, 400 say.
If a grade 2 commander available points + 10%
If a grade 1 commander available points + 30%
If a grade 0 commander available points + 60%
eg If it has been agreed to fight 400 points a side. If Fredrick is the commander you get 400. While if his opponent is Daun they would get 440 pts. Apraxin would get 520 pts and Hamilton (Sweden) would get 640.
Comments, suggestions, etc .. please,
